Information
Born in Ji’an Jiangxi, China in 1996.
Studied Public Art in Wuhan 2015-2019, then MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies at Central Saint Martins in London 2020-2022.
“I am an obedient son, born in a communist revolutionary town in southern China, and grew up during China's market opening and economic boom era. Internet native generation, Elder GenZ. Hate everything about Covid. Lived in the UK for 5 years now. ”
“Sometimes I feel like an outsider. Because I always shuttling between the faraway places and the nostalgia thoughts, maybe that’s contemporary life.”
Two truths and one truth about Junhao:
- My recent life goal is to find a job to make a living, which I see as essential for maintaining a sense of “daily routine”.
- Recently, my creative focus has shifted from visual art to writing, as I am attempting to begin a medium-length science fiction novel exploring cultural difference, technological ethics, and near-future life.
- Contemporary art creation doesn’t really require a physical studio (for me, mainly cause I can’t afford).
